How we work

Engagement model

Nordlink Capital delivers each mandate through a structured five-step process, designed for the institutional cycle and the cadence at which Nordic allocators evaluate, diligence and commit to new strategies. Mandates run on an initial six-month term with rolling extension thereafter.

The process

Five-step mandate

Step 01

Fund assessment and readiness

The firm begins each mandate with a structured assessment of the fund's strategy, team, track record and current positioning. The objective is to establish institutional readiness, identify positioning gaps relative to current Nordic allocator priorities, and agree clear deliverables and timelines for the engagement.

Step 02

Positioning and materials

Our team works with the manager to review and refine all investor-facing materials, pitchbook, executive summary, DDQ template and supporting collateral, for Nordic institutional readers. Where useful, the team engages directly with the manager's marketing and IR functions to align language, emphasis and supporting data.

Step 03

Investor mapping and targeting

The firm develops a co-agreed target list of institutional allocators, prioritised by mandate fit, current appetite for the strategy and recent allocation activity. The list is refined iteratively as outreach progresses and as allocator feedback is incorporated.

Step 04

Targeted outreach

Nordlink Capital operates a structured roadshow programme across Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark, with Iceland coverage where relevant. The firm schedules, prepares for, attends and follows up on each meeting. Outreach formats include one-on-one meetings with priority allocators, group briefings for curated investor segments, investor lunches and dinners, and regional seminars. Roadshow notice is six weeks minimum.

Step 05

Ongoing investor relations

Institutional commitment cycles typically span one to three years from first meeting to allocation. Our team continues coverage across that horizon, managing the post-close investor relationship, supporting reporting cadence and update calls, and maintaining continuity into subsequent vintages.
